Nia is a joyful body conditioning practice involving movement to music. Classes are one-hour long, and suitable for people of all ages and stages of life – no prior experience needed. The classes are carefully designed to enable people to experience joy and pleasure in the body and move safely, avoiding injury. The benefits are increased coordination, mobility, flexibility, agility, stability and strength, but most importantly, unlocking creativity and finding pure joy in movement.
I have been a yoga teacher for 30 years, with a British Wheel of Yoga certificate as well as Pregnancy Yoga certificate. I’ve done many different types of yoga – including hatha, Inner Yoga and Vinyasa. My classes draw on many different traditions and practices. My teaching has mostly been on a voluntary basis for people in the community.
I am starting a new Nia dance class in North London. Details below
